Happy holidays to everyone! I have made several appearances on TV with Tony Bennett recently. Several of the clips are available on my video page. This January I will be traveling to Japan with the Count Basie Orchestra and will soon be releasing two new albums: my string quartet & jazz quartet piece "Journey Through a Dream," and a project with fellow Basie member Barry Cooper, "Common Journey."

This is a busy month for the Count Basie Orchestra with the release of the Tony Bennett Christmas Album; a 5 day stint at the Blue Note in New York with Ledisi; a Mack Ave recording session with Frank Wess, Curtis Fuller, Jimmy Heath, Jamie Cullum, Nneena Freelon, Butch Miles, Rufus Reid, Hank Jones, and Janis Siegel; and a European Tour! I have been commissioned by the Arts League of Michigan to write a new piece for jazz quartet and string quartet that will premiere on July 31 and August 1 in Detroit. Click here for more info.
